Southwestern Microsystems, Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities, including users who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captioning, or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We design and develop swmicrosystems.com to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities — visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive.
What we do
We use semantic HTML, descriptive alt text for meaningful images, sufficient color contrast, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus indicators, and a "skip to content" link on every page. We review the site as part of every meaningful release.
Known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. If you encounter a page or feature that does not work well with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it so we can fix it.
