Southwestern Microsystems Inc. (SWMS) is an electronics design and manufacturing company based in Gilbert, Arizona. We specialize in single and multiple channel audio and music distribution systems for the salon and spa industry — most notably the tanning salon industry — though our systems run in restaurants, bars, hotels, and many other environments.

We design and manufacture our commercial music distribution systems and specialty electronics in the United States, using as many local suppliers as possible. It is our owner's mission to maintain manufacturing capability inside the USA.

We are a second-generation family company. The music distribution systems were originally designed and manufactured by the owner's father and his company, Sigma Southwest Corp. He stepped away from daily manufacturing in 2009 to semi-retire. Eric, the owner of SW Microsystems, left Corporate America (aerospace) at the same time to fulfill his desire of running his own company.

SWMS is continuously improving its product line to make sure customers get products that meet or exceed their needs at a competitive price. We've added custom electronic design and prototyping services — a turnkey solution for companies that want to ship a product without adding full-time staff.
